I've thought of a potential obstacle with this invention. what if we need to apply it to a submerged search & rescue? since the fillament is compressed air, wouldnt it then just remain at the surface?

i live in Georgia and I've gone to both ruby falls and the lost sea. Just before watching this video i watched an episode of explained about taking water for granted on Netflix. I know my thought process in this case was stupid and brought on by pure coincidence, but hear me out. Ruby falls is an underground waterfall in a cave which is open for the general public. The source of the water is coming from a very thin gap on the "ceiling" of the cave. The source hasn't been found, and all other methods and robots that they have used to try to explore this source have failed. If we use one of these to search through the gap and cracks in it for the water source, it might just work. The lost sea is a similar attraction in Tennessee that i've seen because my grandparents used to live close to it. It is also a body of water underground, but not a waterfall like in ruby falls, a lake. It is currently the second largest underground body of water in the world, but there is still a undiscovered part of it. You see, this underground lake has one big problem preventing people from further exploring it, fish. One strip of the underground lake is completely submerged in the water, and seems to lead to another part of the lake, but, people cant go through it. The lost sea has murky waters which make it a bit hard to see, but its one of the most attractive things about this cave. The lake itself is home to a certain species of carnivorous fish. This is the reason people cant explore it further. However, this robot might actually work. If its made from a strong material, then hopefully we could use it to explore the rest of that strip. The robot might not seem like the most appetizing thing to the fish, and might not be affected by them.

I liked the antenna use, if it was a stand alone system that would be awesome for quick radio setups in the bush. No more throwing lines and rigging. That is more building structure though and doesn’t really need to be a robot…although it could be used to scale trees, buildings or other objects to setup your own antenna in a more discrete fashion. Would help spelunking. If portable enough, could be drug along and used to explore smaller cracks or crevices. Put a display head on the end and you have a following monitor. Have a few for security cameras on a property. If sensors pick up a noise, can deploy to investigate. We will probably make large, I mean HUGE, versions of the dancing flower. Remember the little guy in his pot, sunglasses on and ready to boogie? Well, celebrate spring with a giant sunflower who “lights up” your garden display with dance routines!

Though, which would be easier? Sitting crossed legged on a yoga ball or standing on one? With CL your center of mass is low, but your mobility is limited. Standing up, you have a greater range of motion while having a center of mass further from your balance point. I wonder how it would turn out? More of a tiktok challenge and less of a mythbusters idea though, unfortunately.
